I’m reading Erin Morgenstern’s novel, “The Night Circus”. I have quickly realized that her perspective of storytelling is vastly different than my own. Then again, mine is different than Suzanne Collins’ and hers is different than Richard Russo’s. All authors have a distinct way in telling their stories. There is no right or wrong way. The Writing Process
I think I was in the fifth or sixth grade when I wrote my first book. In fact, I think I still have it packed away in a box in my attic along with numerous other childhood memories. If I remember correctly, it was about a young girl who falls in love with a boy. Unique concept, I know. Even back then, I knew enough to write something that I would have wanted to read myself.
